Geisha

In the last century, Geishas existed in Japan, but today they no longer do. It's important to note that Geishas were not prostitutes. Instead, they provided services to enhance the ambiance of parties and had no involvement in the work of prostitutes.
Geishas possessed a high level of education and knowledge, allowing them to engage in conversations with clients from various backgrounds. Their services commanded a high cost, even in the last century, with fees of five hundred US dollars per hour, making it a lucrative profession.
Becoming a Geisha required extensive training, which carried a price tag of five hundred thousand US dollars at that time. Some women even invested in training young girls to become Geishas, as this business was thriving during that era.
While Geishas were certainly connected to sexuality, their social circles consisted of wealthy individuals and honorable members of the upper class, rather than individuals involved in illicit activities.
