“Seize the knife handle” means that we must control our power. We must manage other people, not be controlled by other people.
If you have the power to seize the knife handle, your chances of being hurt by other people are less. You can live an independent life.
The character of us humans is greedy. Almost everyone wants to take advantage from others. If we cannot protect ourselves, we shall lose everything we have gained.
Try to live your life simply. Only by simplicity, can you live a happy and beautiful life. You do not have to depend your living on other people.
If you live a complicated life, you have to depend on help from other people. You will be controlled by others if you ask for their help.
But, to seize the knife handle by yourself is not easy. You need wisdom. You can use it on things whether they are big or small.
In this world, you have the right to protect yourself, but not to take advantage of others. You must be a person of wisdom.
