We Like Saying “I”

When we meet people, many of them like to talk about themselves, using the word “I” more frequently in the course of conversation.
But, if you use “I” too much, it is a nuisance to your conversation partner. You must know how to control “I.”
Conversation is a kind of knowledge. We must speak with people and listen purposeful or we cheep for nothing. Less “I” is better.
If you can let other people speak more “I” than you do, you will be more welcomed by the person who is in conversation with you.
In the Bible, it says we humans have two ears and one mouth. It means that we should listen more and speak less.
In our old Chinese saying: “Silence is Gold.” Do not be silent all the time, but speak only when it is necessary.
Even to good friends, speaking must be careful. Improper words will spoil friendship. We may lose a friend, if we do not choose words carefully.
