Mouse Could Save Human

Many years ago, in a mountain, there was a coal mine. When the workers had lunch together, they purposely put some rice to the ground from their bowls.
One day a reporter of a newspaper visited the mine and saw the situation. For curiosity, the reporter asked the worker the reason of their action.
Workers replied that to drop the rice in the ground was for the food of the mice. The reporter asked the reason why.
The worker then said that though mine had modern warning system but the mice had early feeling of danger before gas leaking out from mine.
The mouse had more sensitive reaction than our system. They escaped fast before our warn system announced. Therefore, they fed mice daily.
In the cites, we hate mouse, which spread disease in our drains and in the corner of our homes. But to the mines, mice were their dear friends which would save their life in case of emergency.
But, still, in our normal life, we dislike mouse which are the threat to our health.
