You Know Everything, You Know Nothing

In our Chinese idea if you know everything, you will be poor. It is clear that of you know too many things in the surface, you will be difficult to put your knowledge into action which is to earn a living.
Since our life time is limited, we cannot learn everything, either useful or unuseful. We can only learn things which can help us to earn a living. Thus, we must have a clear knowledge.
For example, if you dig nine wells, but shallow, with no water coming out, it would be much practical to dig a deep well with plenty of water. The theme of our life is same.
Even as far as doctors are concerned, Chinese doctors have general knowledge about every sickness. But, to European doctors they are mostly specialized in some field, some specialist in heart, some in ears and eyes, some in teeth. They only serve to patients who have such troubles. It is clear that the Western system is better. The world is so big, but our life is not very long. We cannot learn everything which is happen in the world. Therefor, we must be very careful to learn things which will help us to live our life.
