History

Winston Churchill, Prime Minster of England in Second World War, also the Nobel prize winner in literature. He was very fluent in speech, after which many university students would ask him what books they should read. He replied in one word: “History.”
We should know history, especially the history of our own country. It is because history is the record of thought and behavior of our ancestors. They might be right or wrong in what they did. But, we can learn from things which were right.
From history, we learn wisdom which can help us in our today’s life. We only learn right and correct knowledge from them.
In the play of Hamlet written by Shakespeare four hundred years ago. All the people in the play were wise, but they did not have wisdom, committed serious mistakes and finally a sad end to their life.
We have many happiness in our life, as well as trouble and disaster. We cannot resist disaster from nature, but we must use our wisdom to avoid our own disaster.
