Pay First, Then Eat

This does not mean that we go to restaurant paying first, and eating afterwards. Only you eat fast food, you have to pay first.
In Europe, it means that we must clear all bills, then we eat. What we eat now is our own money.
But, in recent century, credit card is so popular that you can use your future income by signing a credit card, which is dangerous to many people who has no fixed income, or to the person, if he uses his future income beforehand, he will be forever in liability.
To our Chinese, we remind ourselves to keep expense below our income. We shall never spend lavishly if our income is small.
Unless we are in business, we shall never borrow from bank. For business, borrowing is normal. For own expenses own money is absolute necessary.
“Pay firsts, eat later.” It is a philosophy of economy. This is the foundation to be rich. If you spend your own money only then you are rich.
