Who Are You?

When you get up in the morning, facing the mirror, you can ask yourself who are you? You can answer: “I am me of today.” Yesterday was gone, a history already. Tomorrow is unknown. Today is real. We live our life at this very moment. We shall try to use utmost to do things as best as we can, to show who I am today.
There is an English proverb: “You cannot see dust in your nose.” The meaning is that you cannot see your own mistakes, but to see other mistake is easy. The Greek philosophy Socrates also said: “Understand yourself.” Indeed, we spend much time to study other people, but seldom to study ourself. Therefore, to look at yourself at mirror every morning is to understand yourself.
In India, there is also a proverb: “your idealism can be as high as sky, but you have to put your feet on the ground.” That means, you can have a big plan in your mind, but you have to start from very small detail. Then, go slowly step by step according to your plan. “Rome was not built in one day.” If you can base on this philosophy and plus your persistent character, you can do anything you like and take a word from Churchill “Never give in”.
