Homer

Two thousand years ago, Homer was born in Greece in a rich family. He had a good education in his childhood days, lived comfortably but unfortunally disaster fell upon his beginning of young age.
At that time, Greece happened a disease of cholera. Almost ten percent of population suffered this deadly disease. Homer was one of them, but he did not die, only his eyes blinded.
Though his was blind, his learning spirit still strong and desirous. His parent invited famous teachers to teach him music and poets.
Due to years of hard study, he became a famous blind writer and musician too. His famous writing was “Helen of Troy” which was taken a film by Hollywood and now it has been known to the world ever since.
From this story of Homer, we know that even if we meet disaster under a bad luck, but as long as our life still exists, we still can do many things meaningful to ourselves as well as to the society.
