Before Help Others, Think

In a certain early morning with an air of breeze, in a certain place, somewhere in a country. There were two men, walking together in the university open yard. One was a professor and another student.
Suddenly from far side in a distance, a lady fell to the ground. The student was ready to run to rescue her. But, the professor stopped him, saying that if the lady did not suffer serious wound, she would rise up by herself. Our volunteer help would only give her nuisance and awkward position. But, if the wound was serious she would ask for help. Then we could go to help her.
From this example, we should not help others if others do not ask. Over exceeding warm heart will not receive thanks from the helped.
But, even we help, we should consider our ability, not necessary to help with all what we have. Especially to the poor people, we must consider carefully before we help. Generally, poor people should think to solve their poverty by themselves. To help poor is not a good way, unless in an emergency case.
