Shaoxing, Chinese Venice (2)

There is a big river in Shaoxing, water is extremely clean, and we can see the bottom very clearly. The ingredient of the water is different from other rivers. It particularly fits for making wines which is the best in China. Thus, river has unlimited resource of water which we do not know where it comes. There are many wine manufactures who depend the water supplies to make the best wine in China.
In the party, wine is the media to make friendship closer and the Shaoxing wine is the necessity in the party.
At Shaoxing at that time, there was a kind of slim long small boat, covered by a black roof to prevent raining. The roof is very low, only allowing one or two persons in the boat to sit or to sleep. This was a kind of private car for rich people, to go to anywhere by the small rivers.
Nowadays Starbucks are popular in the society, but at that time, small wine shops were everywhere in the city for people to meet together. Its function is like small bars nowadays and the charges was low for low-level people to meet their for gathering.
