Do Not Say Too Much “I”

Many people, in their conversation with others, like to speak more I in expressing their ideas. It is a human habit when we talk with friends, we like to talk about our own affairs more and then speak much “I”.
But, to use much “I” in the conversation with others is not good. Many people do not like a person if he only talks about himself all the time.
We must give the person the same opportunity to speak his idea. Never to occupy time only to speak for ourselves.
In the King James Bible: “We have two ears and one mouth.” Which tells us that we should listen more and speak less.
Besides, to listen more and speak less gives us an opportunity to learn more knowledge from others.
We, Chinese, have a proverb, “Silence is golden”. Which does not forbid us to speak, but to speak more proper words which we should speak. Therefore, to speak less is better than to speak more “I”.
