Mouse Can Save Human

Many years ago, somewhere in China there was a coal mine. When coal workers had lunch at the mine bottom, they purposely threw some rice down to the ground. Many mice would come out from their hiding holes eating rice, fearing of no human. Actually, they became friends in a way between human and mice.
One day, a reporter from a newspaper visited the coal mine, asking workers why they threw rice to the ground. The worker replied that it was that when the gas leaked out from the coal mine, the mice would be the first to discover and run out to the exit, faster than the system of gas checking machine. Therefore, workers will follow the mice to escape, and thus many tragedies avoided.
This was the particular case which mice were useful to human. In most cases, mice are harmful to human, especially to farmers whose harvest in the field were often eaten much by the mice. Thus, farmers have to put snakes on the field, preventing the mice to increase in small numbers. Generally speaking, mouse is the most harmful to our human, and nowadays we are trying utmost to stop mice entering our house.
