Some kind of food is so expensive that only rich people can afford to eat. It is not because that they are so good to make your life to live long, but because that it is rare to get.
Swallow’s nest is very expensive which is from Indonesia and Thailand. It grows at the top of the hole in the high mountain. People have to risk their life to get it. In getting the swallow’s nest, many people fell down from the top of the hole and died. That is why the price is so expensive. As to the effect of the swallow’s nest, physical effect is more than the real. It only has the content of protein.
Shark fin is the same. Fishmen, when a shark caught, immediately cut off its fins alive and throw the body to the sea. It is so cruel. That is why now public is urged not to eat shark fin.
Abalone is also the same. For instance, in Australia, fishmen have to dive to the bottom of the sea, risking their life by sharks. It is so rare to get, and thus the price is so expensive, but rich people in South East Asia particularly like to eat abalone in dinner parties.
