The History Of Chinese Doctor And Medicine

Chinese doctor and medicine have had a history of five thousand years. It’s excellence in curing patient is out of doubt. But the only thing confuses us is that many Chinese doctors still depend upon a medicine book called “Yellow Emperor’s Internal Canon” which was a book written four thousand years ago. Up to now, there has been not any medical book other than “Yellow Emperor’s Internal Canon”. No new theory has appeared in medical world so far.
In the book of “Romance of three Kingdom” there was a famous doctor whose name was Hua Tuo. He had medical knowledge superior than other doctor at that time. He knew how to operate the human body and that is a knowledge unknown to other Chinese doctors.
Another good doctor at ancient time called Bian Que. He had his theory how to check the illness of a patient by four words “Look, smell, ask, touch. By the start of these words, you can then cure your patient with your knowledge and judgment.
There are thousand kinds of Chinese medicine, which efficiency is from the knowledge of a person called Shennong. He tested by his mouth over thousands of plants. He then came to conclusion that which plant could be good for cure patients and which contains poison harmful to human body.
