Love Yourself

In our conversation with people, we always say: “I love you.” or “I love him.” We seldom say: “I love myself.” But, in the reality of our life, we actually show ourself that we indeed love ourself in many ways, though we do not want to admit. If we admit to love ourself, it is to say that we are a person of selfishness.
There is a border line of selfishness. If we are selfish to keep our own benefit, such selfness is right, but if we are to take other’s benefit by our selfness, it is then wrong in every respect.
Talking about “Love Yourself” there is a true story which happened in a city in China few years ago. There was one family of seven persons, grandfather, grand mother, father, mother and one six years old girl. One day Grandpa was sick, and the girl asked Grandma why Grandpa would be sick. Grandma replied when any person was old, he or she would be sick and die. After hearing this, the girl began to weep loudly to show her sadness. Whole family was greatly touched for the girl’s cry because of her grandpa sickness. After thirty minutes, the girl stopped crying, and her mother asked the girl why she cried so sadly. The girl replied: “I am not crying for grandpa, I cried for myself that one day I also will be sick and die.”
This is a proof that we human are actually in love with ourself. Only by loving ourself we can then love others.
