Human Heart

At the present moment of the world, no body, including the faculty of universities, will study the problem whether human heart is basically kind or evil from birth.
Nowadays everybody is working hard to earn more money to improve their living condition. Who will pay attention to study human heart problem?
But, more than two thousand years ago, China was divided into seven countries and at that time each country frequently held meetings to discuss many human problems, including human heart problem.
One of the scholar Mencius proposed that human heart is basically kind by birth. He exampled: ‘A bandit of fierce character one day passed a well, seeing a child climbing towards the well. At the critical moment that the child was going to fall into the well, the bandit jumped forward and caught the child from death. This was a proof that human heart was kind.
But another scholar Shang Yang opposed his him. He said that human heart was basically evil. That is why we need law to control the action of evil people. Therefore, this debate could not reach a conclusion, but left to every human to think on his own way.
