Private Library

We saw from documentary and films that in the ancient times European noble families had splendid private libraries at their homes. There were thousand of beautiful cover-books of different kinds. We could immediately feel that the master must be a person of learned man with high education.
Those books were written by wise men to show direction of life to the ordinary people. Their knowledge was profound with deep philosophy which was good in every way, if we could learn deeply from them. But, we could not believe that the owner of those libraries would read those books which were just decoration at their homes.
Indeed, in our life we have so many things to do and we do not and also cannot spare much times to read books. Therefore, before we read a book, we should read preface first. If it is not useful to our purpose, we should not read it, or it is indeed a waste of our life.
Many young people, wishing to ascertain a philosophy of life quickly, buy many books of proverbs in a purpose to be a saint overnight. It is, of course, wrong. A good proverb book is enough, but you have to apply proverb words into action. Then you can get the essence of proverb to your practical daily life.
