We, Chinese have a saying: “A Poor man is afraid to face a new year, but he has to pass it.” This means that we must face some situation whether we like it or not.
In our life, we have many things which we do not like to face it, but we cannot escape from it.
Therefore, we must have spirit of persistence to face any situation should it come upon us. To be successful in our life depends upon our persistence. When a stone blocks our way, we must use it as a step stone to go forward, not to be afraid just for a stone in front of us.
If we are poor, we use our spirit of persistence to get rich by hard work and less spending. Slowly we shall, then, become rich through a period of years.
If you are a student, you shall study hard. Then one day you will surely be a student of excellent result in examination.
In a new year of a poor man, it should be a day to encourage him to work harder to improve his life, not to surrender before poor condition. God only reward the person who works hard in his life. What you have sowed, you will surely get harvest.
