I’ve shut the door on yesterday.
Its’ sorrows and mistakes.
I’ve locked within the gloomy walls.
Past failures and heartaches.
And now I throw the key away.
To seek another room.
And furnish it with hope and smiles.
And every springtime bloom.
No thought shall enter this abode.
That hath a hint of pain.
And worry, malice and distrust.
Shall never therein reign.

And thrown the key away.
The future holds no doubt for me.

The expression of “future” in Western style is different from our Chinese ways, but the meaning is the same. That is to seize today in preparation of tomorrow. If we want to have a good future, we must work hard today. We must live our life in reality today, seizing everything in our possession if it is good for our future.
