Human Life

Nowadays human life is longer than those of old days in which period people did not live up to eighty mostly. But, today majority of people live to eighty and ninety or even more. It may be the reasons that in the past century we have lived in a peaceful time, with food abundant. Besides, medical science has been very much in progress which supports us to live a long life.
Take few examples in the past days. A Chinese famous King in Qing Dynasty called Kangxi who died at sixty eight. Of course, his medical care by doctors was the best of all and his food was surely the best too. There was no reason he should have died at sixty eight. But, due to his hard work, he could not live longer as he wished.
Shakespeare died at fifty three, a very prime age at that time. He was so famous a play-writer at his days, very much admired by the Queen and many nobles. He was rich, building a theatre with friends in partnership, to show his plays which he wrote. He did not live with his wife, living in London alone. May be a single life shortened his age to live long life.
Siddhartha Gautama was the founder of Buddhism, but died at eighty. We should think that he died because of his hard work.
