One of our saints in ancient China said that human character in the beginning was kind when a child was born to the world.
It is something to discuss here about the human character. Actually, human character, when a child was born, did not show kind or evil in his behavior.
But, one thing is sure that the child was born selfish. We can see from the example that a child of few months old, holding food in his hand. If you ask him to share you the food, the child will surely refuse. That is the proof of selfishness.
In spite of the fact that human is selfish, but we, ourselves never admit that we are selfish. However, selfish is actually a good thing from many points of view. Because of selfish, we have competition in all walks of life and as a consequence, we get progress through our competition.
Why today we have such a beautiful world and we can enjoy our comfortable life. Its root is from our selfishness. It is the selfishness, we work hard and hard work produces progress.
But, the true selfishness is never to take advantage from other people, otherwise your selfishness is guilty.
