Words Of Confucius

Confucius was a holy man. His words have guarded us almost more than two thousand years. It is, of course, worthwhile for us to learn.
He said: “The man who asks a question is a fool for a minute; the man who does not ask is a fool for life.”
Most of us have a habit that we do not like to ask question which we do not know, feeling that if we ask questions which will show signs of our ignorance and we shall thus be disguised by others. That is the reason we do not like to ask. But, it is true that if we ask for one minute, we can learn things from others who may take years to get his knowledge. To a wise man, this is the simplest and quickest way to learn.
He also said: “Looking at small advantage prevents great affairs from being accomplished.” Therefore, we should seize right directions to achieve what we desire. But, many young men do not like to study for high education, just to start working early to get small income for enjoyment. On the other hand, some young men study hard for high education in their young age. Once they graduated, they can earn high income and live a good life. So, do not focus your goal on short-sighted things, but looking forward to a far-sighted plan by paying more effort and more hard-labour. No pain, no gain.
