There are some writers who, in their writings, regard life like a dream. It is, if course, not true and groundless, but, instead, life is so realistic that we find problems to us every day. How can we say that life is a dream.
Why we cannot say, life is a dream. It is so simple because we will be hungry and we need to eat. As long as we need eating, we are in realistic life.
We need to work to earn money to support our living. That is the reality. In dream we can live without eating. That is the difference between dream and our life in reality.
Even animals have to face reality to live. Why dogs are so close and faithful to human. It is because dogs cannot hunt to live by themselves. Dogs have to depend on human for their living.
We are human, a creature and of course, we need to eat to live. Therefore, we have to work to live our life. That is why the world is so prosperous because every human is working hard in different kind of trade to earn living to survive. But, in dream we do not have to work at any condition.
If we hear somebody saying that life is a dream, he must be a person of laziness. A diligent person will never say so because he is paying his full effort to work hard to live even no time to dream in the night.
