Use What We Learn

Everybody needs learning. That is why children have to go to school at very young age, learning knowledge in preparation for use when they grow up. Nowadays, every country puts education as the most important goal to educate people.
In ancient China, farmers were almost ignorant, unable to read and what they knew was only to plough their field. At that time, if the persons were educated, they could be respected by the society as a kind of unique people.
Today, Chinese people have received education from very young even in the village. That is why China grows fast in recent decades.
When a person grows up, if he is a man of progress, he will have knowledge of different kind to earn his living. But, it is better if he can use his knowledge to the society.
Confucius was the person who learned his knowledge by his hard learning, but he used his knowledge to teach people. That is why today we, Chinese, all respect him and remember him because of his great thinking in teaching people how to live well for himself and how to contribute to the society.
We are ordinary people who, in majoring, wish to learn for himself, but it is better to use his knowledge to the society for what he has learned.
