If there is a world competition among the words of famous people, Lao Tzu should have a good position in front. It is because what he said two thousand years ago is still useful to human society today.
Lao Tzu was a teacher of Confucius who has been known to all Chinese as a guidance of decent life during the past two thousand years. But, still Lao Tzu was Confucius’ teacher and in educational field. Lao Tzu was greater. Confucius’s philosophy is useful to ordinary people, but Lao Tzu is helpful to the politicians mostly. 1. I have three things to send you, “Simplicity, Patience and Tolerance.” It is true that if we apply our life in simplicity, we surely can achieve many things to our desire, even we can turn our poverty to rich. “Patience” is the word to run our life. With patience, we can complete our education and our business carrier. Patience means persistence by which every man can be successful. “Tolerance” is to protest our life from trouble. Only by tolerance our life will then be smooth in every direction we go, and will be happy with everyone we meet.
2. “Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changer. Don’t resist them. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”
It is true that we must live our life in reality putting our feet on the ground and accept what the fate has put upon our shoulder. We can only try to improve, but not against.
