Should We Do Exercise

Many years ago, one saying was very popular in China. That is: “Life depends upon exercise.” Of course, we must admit that exercise is very useful and helpful to our health, but it is not entirely so. The reason is based on that people without exercise can also live to long life. On the contrary, people who do exercise excessively may not live long. Then, what is the reason behind?
It is because our life depends on sleep and food without which we cannot live and exercise is a secondly thing. You can have exercise to improve your health, but you can still live without exercise.
Young people do not need exercise. Their daily activities are sufficient enough to keep themselves healthily. For old people, they need exercise, but they have no energy to take exercise even they want to.
Only those middle aged people especially the ones, who are over-eaten in their daily life, need to have exercise as a protection from illness.
Some people, who get stroke, have to lie on bed for the rest of their life, but if they are well-taken care of, they can live another ten years or twenty years even they have no exercise on bed.
Therefore, in conclusion, exercise is good to our life, but not entirely necessary.
