In China, everyone knows that Yue Fei was a loyal general in Song Dynasty. He resisted Mongolian army to invade the boarder of North China. He did a great merit for the Song Dynasty.
But, sadly he was murdered in prison by the then Prime Minister, Qin Hui who was so evil –hearted that he was jealous about the Yue’s success in resisting Mongolian army. For this reason, Qin Hui’s figure knelt down in front of Yue Fei’s grave in the West Lake of Hangzhou today for tourist to memorize the past history.
Actually the situation was not so. It was that the Emperor Gaozong of Song at that period, secretly ordered Qin Hui to kill Yeu Fei for an unspoken purpose.
The story went back several years ago that Mongolian army attacked Beijing and captured his father who was king at that time, and took him to Mongolia as prisoner.
Then Gaozong became king to replace his father as kingship. It was this reason that Gaozong wanted his father to be prisoner in Mongolia forever.
If Yue Fei won the war, the old king would be back that the present king would not let this situation happen. For this reason Yue Fei was killed and Qin Hui negotiated a peace treaty on behalf of Gaozong with Mongolia king. The condition was that the old king must be imprisoned in Mongolia forever and the present king agreed to let Mongolia to occupy the territory of North China as exchange.
